5:27 p.m. A deputy took a report for a missing antique wagon wheel at 36250 U.S. Highway 160.

Saturday, April 13

3:55 p.m. A deputy took a report for a brush fire that crossed a property line in the 12300 block of Road 26. A woman was cited with fourth-degree arson when a ditch burn got out of her control and burned her neighbor’s apple trees. The woman stated in the deputy’s report that she had gone into her house for less than 30 minutes and when she came back out, the fire had come out of the ditch and toward her trees, then past her trees toward her neighbor’s property.

Thursday, April 18

11:40 p.m. A deputy took a report from a woman for a possible stolen vehicle in the 32000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Saturday, April 20

10:10 p.m. A deputy arrested an intoxicated man who was witnessed driving into the parking lot at High Country Releaf Dispensary, 102 Railroad Ave., in Dolores, entering the establishment, looking around, then exiting and falling in the parking lot before getting back into a vehicle. Deputies called Cortez Police to assist them in providing a WRAP device. The incident report did not specify whether charges were associated with the incident.

Tuesday, April 23

2:58 p.m. A deputy arrested a woman on a warrant who was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., and transported her to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

7:36 p.m. A woman was arrested in the 14700 block of U.S. Highway 491 on a warrant out of Durango for charges of fraud after a pawnshop conducted a background check for a firearm transfer.

10:15 p.m. An deputy arrested a person who identifies as a woman at 23 E. Montezuma Ave., on suspicion of a reported stabbing incident. The woman matched the description that Cortez Police were broadcasting and needed assistance in locating, she was found soaking wet and repeating the name of a man over and over.

Wednesday, April 24

7:23 p.m. A man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was cited with six violations of a protection order when his wife, the restrained party of a protection order, used another person’s account to video chat.

Thursday, April 25

1:47 p.m. A deputy took a report for his role in providing cover unit scene safety service for a Colorado State Trooper who was conducting a DUI Investigation at 4000 Road 22.

8: 32 p.m. A deputy took a report for a Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately investigation in the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 160. A man was arrested on a warrant.

Sunday, April 28

5:51 p.m. A deputy took a report for an agency assist at 33501 U.S. Highway 160. The Colorado State Patrol officer had a man in custody for a suspected DUI, the deputy was asked to identify the passenger and gave a courtesy ride to the Denny’s after being cleared from the investigation.

Sunday, April 29

9:12 p.m. A deputy served a failure to appear warrant to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
