The city of Cortez has awarded 24 grants to Cortez-based businesses and nonprofits, as part of the city of Cortez CARES Coronavirus Relief Fund.

Funds from $500 to $5,000 were granted to for-profit and nonprofit businesses that demonstrated their business disruption because of COVID-19.

The businesses include: Mesa Verde Country Tourism, Summit Family Dental of Cortez, YBD Enterprises, Elevated Smoke, Sew By SO, Por Dia Preschool, KB Insurance, Loungin Lizard, Rudra, Inc., Sean Gantt, High Desert PT, Pie Maker, Salvation Army, Shear Shack, Ute Coffee Shop, Armando Sastre DDS, Thai Cortez, Plaza Laundry, Heart & Core Yoga Studio, Dana Jensen Massage, J Fargos, Blondie’s Trophy Room and Nails by Susan.
