Bird walks Sundays at Mancos State Park

For both beginning and seasoned bird watchers., Sunday morning is an ideal time to look for feathered critters at Mancos State Park.

Park Naturalist Carol Bylsma leads a bird walk every Sunday morning starting at 7:30 a.m. On a recent Sunday morning, people on the walk saw more than 20 different bird species, from wild turkeys to a spotted towhee.

Mancos State Park is located about five miles north of the town of Mancos.

Entry fee to the park is $7 per vehicle per day. Camping is also available.
