Armand Alfred Desruisseaux

Armand Alfred Desruisseaux was born on August 10, 1929, in Manchester, N.H., the son of Alfred and Alphonsine (Carrier) Desruisseaux. He passed away in Mancos on Monday, April 22, 2013, at the age of 83.

Armand was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. He married Lorraine (Galli) Desruisseaux on April 13, 1963, in Syracuse, New York.

He was a retired high school science teacher. In his spare time, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed college football and basketball.

Armand was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Alphonsine Desruisseaux; his wife, Lorraine Desruisseaux; and a sister, Rita Furgal.

Surviving Armand are his daughters: Danielle Desruisseaux (and husband, Tom Yoder) of Mancos, and Elia Desruisseaux of Ridgewood, N.J.; and his three grandchildren.

A service will be held at a later date in Syracuse, New York.

Arrangements are under the direction of Four Corners Funeral Chapel, Cortez.
