Winning trumps everything, including national interest

Everybody likes to win.

Somewhere in grade school, children learn that they don't get to win all the time. Some don't get over the idea that they should, as an entitlement.

Unfortunately, our ruler-elect has shown Himself to be an "I have to win and you have to lose" type of guy.

He issued a poke-in-the-eye new year's greeting to voters who "lost" the election, meaning THE MAJORITY who voted for someone else.

Back in the fall campaign, he insisted that there was massive voter fraud and said he might not accept results of the presidential election, unless he won. His need to win TRUMPED the good of the country.

Hillary Clinton won the national popular vote by around 2.8 million. Himself immediately announced, with no evidence whatsoever, that it was because of voting by illegal aliens. Some of us keep mentioning Clinton's national vote win, not because we are whining, but because it's a fact and we know he hates it.

Himself became our ruler-elect by winning the Electoral College tally. He proclaimed it was an overwhelming margin. Not hardly. He was in the lower tier of Electoral College margins since the early days of our country. President Obama had much bigger margins in both 2008 and 2012.

Then there were the national security agency announcements about Russian hacking intended to push the election toward Himself. Himself of course rejects that. It would imply that he didn't win just on his total awesomeness. Again his need to win TRUMPS our national security interests.

He continues to insist it's sour grapes by the LOSERS to de-legitimize his presidency. It's his ongoing juvenile, petty, and erratic behavior that de-legitimizes his presidency. So sad...

But then there are nukes...

On Dec. 22 he tweeted that the U.S. "must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes." Let's think about how well that's likely to work, say with North Korea.

The next day on MSNBC, Himself proclaimed, "Let it be an arms race. We'll out-match them at every pass and out-last them all."

Be afraid! While little that Himself says is believable (for those encumbered by facts), this could be one we should believe. Himself has to win in any given situation to feed his ego, even if that creates a national or even global threat.

This isn't a left wing or right wing issue. It's a universal issue.

Albert Einstein, who I'll hold was a lot smarter than Himself thinks he is, said something along the lines of, "World War III will be fought with nukes. World War IV will be fought with rocks and clubs."

Maybe Himself's handlers should point out that proliferation makes nuclear war more likely, and it could be really bad for Himself's global business empire. Hopefully, our military leaders will create some sort of fail-safe between Himself's twitter finger and actual launch of nukes.
