Mancos Brewing Co. plans second-anniversary bash

The Journal

The Mancos Brewing Co. celebrates its second year of serving the “Beer Loving and Life Celebrating inhabitants of the Mancos Valley Community” with a two-day celebration on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 1-2.

All the Mancos-famous house beers will be served at “Sunday Special” prices through the weekend. The Dizzy Blonde Pale Ale has been revamped into a limited time offering, which the brewer has affectionately named Extra Dizzy. This year’s version is tipping the scale at 8.1 percent alcohol by volume, and has been dry-hopped with Australian hops and bottled for carry out in 33-ounce, Italian flip-top bottles. One keg of Extra Dizzy will go on tap Sept. 30.

A new English Amber will be on tap along with a Farm House Saison and a new Abbey recipe.

The original music of The Afrobeatniks quartet will perform at the Brewery on Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. The Charlie Milo Trio will bring its original jazz-funk fusion to the Brewery on Sunday, also at 5 p.m.
