As a part of the Four Corners Lecture Series, the Hisatsinom Chapter of the Colorado Archaeology Society presents Dr. Severin Fowles on Wednesday, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Methodist Church, 515 Park St., in Cortez.

Fowles will discuss “An Archaeology of the Long Eighteenth Century in Taos.” He will present the results of recent surveys, excavations and tribal consultations near Taos that are shedding light on the complex 18th century chapter in New Mexican history, with a focus on the impact of the Comanche on Pueblo and Spanish communities.
