On May 23rd, our pod of 63 seventh-graders took a walking recreation trip in Cortez.

The Fiesta Theatrr opened for a special showing, at a student price, of a movie. Domino’s Pizza made us a lot of pizzas and gave us a great deal. The Moose and More ice cream store opened its doors to serve up 63 servings of ice cream. Our students were very well-behaved and seemed to enjoy the day.

I really appreciate working with these young people and especially appreciate the support that community businesses gave us to make this day a positive way to close out our school year.
