To the People of Cortez, You are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place, but even better, to have a citizenry of wonderful, caring people.

On a recent hiking trip to Colorado, my husband experienced a medical emergency.

He had to be transported by ambulance from Mesa Verde National Park to Southwest Memorial Hospital. Everyone, and I mean every person we interfaced with during this very stressful situation was amazing, professional, kind, and went out of their way to assist us.

So to Mitch and Marsha of the Park Service, to Natasha, Dr. Fowler, and all of the staff (whose names I didn’t get) on duty in Emergency and Radiology at Southwest the early morning of May 12th, and to the desk personnel at the Holiday Inn Express, thank you, thank you, thank you.YOU ROCK!

And by the way my husband has fully recovered.
