Southwest Memorial Hospital recently received three 2014 National Excellence Awards from Professional Research Consultants, Inc., (PRC), the organization that conducts ongoing, confidential patient satisfaction surveys on behalf of the hospital.

SWMH received the 5-Star Excellence Award in Inpatient Services for Patient Experience with Discharge Information, the 5-Star Excellence Award in Inpatient Services for Patient Experience with Communication about Medications, and the 4-Star Excellence Award in Outpatient Services (Same Day Surgery) for Patient Experience with Overall Quality of Care.

PRC award winners are recognized annually for their achievements in improving patient experiences, employee engagement, and/or physician alignment based on perceptions obtained through surveys of patient who receive care at Southwest Memorial Hospital and its affiliated clinics. Award winners are judged against all other health care organizations in similar categories within PRC’s nationwide databases. The 5-Star Award Winners are identified as the top 10 percent of PRC’s national client database. 4-Star Award winners are identified at the top 25 percent.
